Eating real food is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change and unfortunately clashes with popular food culture.  A decision to eat naturally is often misunderstood by those who do not share your convictions.  Spiritual motivation to change eating habits is not based on weight loss, even though eating naturally does drop the pounds.  Good health for Jesus, and for the temple of the Holy Spirit…your body,  is the greatest motivation.    Being healthy is a form of worship for me as I deny myself what culture tempts me to taste.  See my post  7 Simple Ways to Eat Healthier for more about eating real food.

Fish Tacos

May you eat well and exercise both physically and spiritually, so you will be fit to do what ever good God has prepared in advance for you to do, Ephesians 2:10. 

The reason I am passing on this easy recipe is because it never occurred to me to make fish tacos like this before my daughter taught me, so I wondered if you would be interested too.  Typically in restaurants, the fish tacos I order are served with whole pieces of fish.  This recipe uses chopped pieces of fish, which makes it so much easier to cook.  This would be a great recipe for an older child to learn because you don’t have to worry about the fish breaking apart when you flip it.  (a task I can never get right)

I start off with 2 bags of wild caught cod and defrost it in the refrigerator.  You could use any kind of fish.  Cook in olive  oil until done and flaky.   Stir in  a package of taco seasoning mix, watch out, most have MSG in the ingredients.  Lastly, spoon into tortillas and add toppings.  I love sour cream, cheddar, and cilantro…lots of cilantro for me please.

So there you have it.  A quick simple meal with lots of fishy goodness for your family.  Nutritionists say you should have fish once or twice a week.
