Exploring a Relationship with the Father

Bible Study: In My Father’s House by Mary A. Kassian

I LOVE studying with an author who will teach me the Bible.  I originally picked up this little Bible study because of Ms. Kassian’s credentials.  At the time she was working on her doctorate in systematic theology, and I hoped she would offer me some moments of  connection with the scripture and with God.  I used this as a personal Bible study, not with a group, even though a leadership section is provided if you so desired.

Another reason I decided to give this study a closer look was because of the title.  Being such a visual person, I struggle with my relationship with our invisible Father.    This study gave me much to think about.

Contents consist of:

Week 1 The Father-Daughter Relationship

Week 2:  Our Relational Father God

Week 3:  Our Devoted Father God

Week 4   Our Caring Father God

Week 5:  Clearing the Barriers to Relationship

Week 6:  In My Father’s House.

Each week you are led to the scriptures with encouragement to deepen your walk with Yahweh.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from Mary A. Kassian’s Bible study..

We understand that God is ultimately Spirit and encompasses both the masculine and feminine in His character.  However, when choosing the best, most accurate word to reveal His relationship to us, God chose the word Father. ~Mary A. Kassian~

The whole section on God’s protection answers a lot of questions, and.

James encourages Christians to “count it all joy” (1:2) There is much joy in endurance when we know our pain has purpose.  God has a plan! ~Mary A. Kassian~
