About the Author:
I am Alice LeBlanc, a former Texas 4th grade teacher. I retired early in order to join our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter in the mission field of Cambodia in 2016. Cambodia needs your prayers. The people there live without hope, clinging to superstitions and ancestor worship.
Why Sanctified Tourist?
The longer I live on earth, the stranger I feel here. I am culture shocked daily. A tourist living in my own hometown, sleeping in my own bed. A grieving traveler. It is hard to stay holy here. I named Sanctified Tourist after the scripture in 1 Thessalonians 5:23:
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What do I Write About?
Scripture.
Scripture over religious creed. Scripture over culture.
The Holy Spirit works to teach, convict, to lead, to bring forth scripture. Let me add to the theme the Holy Spirit has already started with you. Maybe it is something He wants you to think about today, or a gift to place in your heart for later. Maybe the words you find here will be a tiny stitch in your tapestry, or a moment of clarity in your walk. We are all Sanctified Tourists, trying to keep mind, heart, and body blameless for the coming.
I hope you enjoy my pictures. Most are from my cheap cell phone and my Lumix point and shoot camera. I use PicMonkey to edit, transform and create graphics for my blog.
I would be privileged for you to quote a portion of my words (75 words or less) on your blog as long as a link is provided back to the source page on this blog. And please site SANCTIFIEDTOURIST.COM or Alice LeBlanc as the author.
